Professional Development
CAMO has a team-approach to Professional Development ( PD) and can deliver presentations in all areas of instruction. Once we know the area(s) in which you want to see growth, we will build a team of specialists to target your specific needs.
Our work can be a single training or a series of tiered trainings that aim to move practices forward over time. We also provide optional follow-up instructional coaching to ensure PD gets to the classroom and support teachers implementing newly learned practices.
Additionally, we offer induction professional development for new and beginning teachers to either extend their certification training or provide fundamental pedagogy training to uncertified teachers.
Strategic Planning
Our services in strategic planning for school recovery, accreditation cycles, and corrective actions involves collecting and articulating data, efficiency studies, connecting all stake holders, short-term and long-term goal setting, budget, and staff training.
ELL and Exceptional Populations
We have a licensed English language learner (ELL) specialist who can ensure compliance in meeting the needs of English language learners, as well as trainers with expertise in servicing exceptional populations and writing IEPs.
Mathematics and Literacy
We have team members who are certified, highly qualified math and English Language Arts (ELA) teachers with expertise to support both elementary and secondary needs.
One of our team members is a writing and reading specialist with over 40 years of teaching experience and has extensive training in early childhood literacy.
Instructional and Leadership Coaching
Our coaches are formally trained and well-experienced to nurture professional growth for all members of your faculty.
We are equipped to provide in-person or virtual instructional coaching in all areas of instruction for teachers at all levels of experience.
Our coaching supports teachers’ individual professional goals, providing a personalized approach to professional development.
Coaching can also follow up whole-staff PDs to ensure new learning extends to the classroom and teachers are supported while trying new strategies.
School Safety
We have a team member with over 15 years of law enforcement experience, including School Resource Officer (SRO) service, to lead school safety planning.
He has designed and delivered school safety plans and protocols to ensure that campuses are safe for today’s learners and prepared staff member to meet the social and emotional learning needs of students within our ever-changing world.
He surveys campuses and advises leadership on the best practices and policies for district, school, and classroom safety for daily and emergency situations.
He utilizes a collaborative format to customize plans to meet the needs Language Learners of the school that he works with, making connections with local law enforcement nationally to ensure that everyone is on the same page and working together to achieve their safety goals.
